Art at Nancledra School
Visual arts are taught as part of termly topics. Children are taught skills which they apply to these themes. Our skills progression follows the Scottish Art project plan.
Visits to local galleries eg Penlee, Leach, Tate are included in the Art curriculum which provide access to high quality inspiration from authentic and renowned local, national & international artists.
Collaboration with galleries also enables children to access resources, eg clay sculpture pottery at Leach Pottery.
We provide opportunities for our parents and members of the art community to demonstrate and teach specialist techniques in school eg screen printing.
